A QUIET SHRIEK is rooted in traumatic narratives from my own life and the process of finding peace with moments that were difficult to understand and express. Designing the collection became a way of processing those experiences and translating internal emotions into physical form. Through exaggerated silhouettes, exposed construction, raw edges, tangled threads, and unconventional materials, the garments make those feelings visible. Originally developed as my thesis collection and later expanded with new garments for Richmond Fashion Week 2023, I wanted the work to hold the same power I felt while creating it—and to allow an audience to feel that power for themselves.
