ABOUT RAY WONDRACEK

I’m Ray Wondracek, a Brooklyn-based fashion designer drawn to clothing that feels as much like an experience as it does something to wear. My work begins with a story and usually ends somewhere between sculptural silhouettes, unconventional materials, meticulous construction, and a little controlled chaos. With a background spanning womenswear design, patternmaking, garment construction, styling, and creative production, I love being involved in the entire process—from the first sketch to the final image. I’m especially interested in fashion’s ability to make something internal visible, create a world around the wearer, and, ideally, make someone stop and look twice.
